Research shows that watching too much television alters your attention span. TV is quick and loaded with stimuli which adjusts your brain to that pace over time. TV watching also lowers brain activity and since your brain health is largely determined by how much you use it, TV can have detrimental effects on your brain. Pick up a book instead. You can experience the same feel good feelings you get from watching TV by reading a book and unlike watching the telly, reading will enhance your brain function.
