2 Insulin Promotes Memory

Clinical studies suggest that insulin receptors in the brain are involved in cognitive and memory function.  Insulin receptor proteins are found abundantly in cell bodies and synapses, including those found in the hippocampus. More studies are being conducted to prove this theory but there is strong evidence that backs the role of insulin in memory and cognition.
