Numbing yourself from feelings  can make you depressed. Some people don’t like to feel vulnerable so they consume themselves in work or constant activity. Yes, some people just have busy lives, but others are afraid of being disappointed or feeling hurt that they submerge themselves in extracurricular activity. I’ve seen depression and one of the things people do is shun others out. Open yourself up to opportunities for friendship and adventure and you will see how much happier you will feel.
