Do you use your GPS to get just about everywhere? Well, researchers suggest you should stop, or at least use it only when you really need to. The GPS effect is the idea that relying too much on your navigation system not only gives you a false sense of security, but also

hinders our ability to create spatial maps on our own. Furthermore, researchers believe that not using our spatial abilities often may lead to a higher risk of early onset dementia.
