Docosahexaenoic acid or DHA, is an omega-3 fatty acid that is essential for optimal brain function and health. It is found in fish oils and seed oils but it is very difficult to meet the required amount through food alone so taking a supplement is highly recommended. Omega-3s are essential building blocks in the brain. Conditions such as depression, alzheimer’s , memory loss, and ADD have been linked to a deficiency in this esential oil.
