Tardive Dyskinesia is a neurological disorder in which the patient has involuntary twitches and body movements. It is usually a result from the use of antipsychotic drugs such as chlorpromazine and haloperidol, but has also been found in patients who have been taking high dosages of other prescription drugs over a long period of time. There is currently no treatment for this disease but can be prevented by lowering drug dosages or switching to safer neurological drugs.
