The automobile fueled a curiosity about the world. It allowed people to travel further and made communities bigger. Before the invention of the automobile, people had to rely on themselves for food and clothing by growing their own crops and making their own clothing. Today, people just hop into their car and travel to the grocery store or to the community mall. The automobile created thousands of jobs, from the construction of the vehicle itself, the roads they drive on, and down to the car salesman.
