2 Pheochromocytoma



Pheochromocytoma translates in greek to ” dark- colored- celled tumor.”  It is found in the medulla, adrenal glands, thyroid, and liver. Symptoms consist of skin sensations, flank pain, elevated heart rate, anxiety, excessive sweating, migraine, extreme weight loss and high blood pressure. Surgical treatment is the first choice for most patients but certain patients with brain tumors opt for medication before selecting surgery.
