In 3 minutes and 11 seconds he completed 10 sums of 10 10 digit numbers. He won the tittle even though he made a score of zero in one of the competition’s main categories, calendar calculation, in which a list of dates from 1600 to 2100 is given to the competitor and he or she is to list as many days of the week for as many of them as possible. Ogasawara, the current winner is a 23 year old math teacher from Japan.
