Brain feels no Pain

You may be wondering why one gets headaches if the brain can in fact feel no pain. Well, headaches occur when pain is sensed through the meninges, nerves, and muscles in the head and neck. The brain itself does not have pain receptors, what a person feels is pain around the brain. Surgeons perform brain surgery on patients while they are awake, which helps them ensure that no damage occurs to the vision nor to motor control.
