Your mind thinks in pictures. This is why you remember faces but not names. You saw the face but you never saw the name. The mind remembers what it sees. This means that you need to develop a mental database of images for names. For example:

Steve = stove

Brain = brain

Wendy = wind

Eva = evening sun

Lisa = Mona Lisa

Matt = door mat

For the next month every time you meet someone turn their first name into a picture. Do this with everyone. If so at the end of a month you could easily have 200 names turned into images. Once you have decided on an image for a name use that image for everyone with that name going forwarded.
