How I Memorized Names on Stan Lee’s Superhumans

Memorise - Memory Power

I was on the first season of Stan Lee’s Superhumans on the History Channel. It was an incredible experience. I mean to be on the show that is hosted by the guy who created Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk is a dream come true for a kid who at age 8 dressed up as the Incredible Hulk for Halloween (me).

When I was on his show I did a few memory challenges. The first was a challenge where they took me to a race in Austin. I was introduced to about 50 runners and got their names. Then as they crossed the finish line I called out their names. It was a BIG challenge and one of the reasons it was is because the runners were among hundreds of others. Not only did I have to remember the names but determine who was in the group that I memorized. I am very pleased to say that I got 100% correct.

Here is the video where I describe how I memorized the names

So basically I select a key distinguishing feature on a person and then I have a picture created for the name and I imagine that picture on the person.
